AIRBRUSH MAGIC, is a new, unique entertainment idea for kids Birthday parties. I came up with the name ‘Airbrush Magic’ when we did a demonstration for kids at Michaels in Humble, TX. I decided to keep the name for this – since 'magic' and 'kids' go together.
“On top of having the traditional clowns or magicians come and entertain at your child's birthday party, now, you can also have an airbrush artist come and “WOW” and entertain the kids as well as adults”, says airbrush artist, Ray Gatica.
Kids take home a Memento: On top of the artistic, entertainment factor the kids get to take home an originally created airbrushed T-shirt as a memorable, memento wearable fun wear they can continue to enjoy after the party.
Gatica is available to come to your party or special event to entertain with his airbrushing artistry by spontaneously creating airbrush art on T-shirts right in front of the kids eyes.
FOR EXPEDIENCY SAKE: During the party, we keep the designs simple by personalizing the shirts with the child's names. The name is loosely, free-hand executed colorfully, in two – three colors, and accented with colorful graphics that can be created quickly. We also use pre-cut templates, letters, ripped paper and cardboard paper towels, cotton balls and other stuff to personalize and create the colorful wearable fun wear. The results, are designs that are soft, graffiti like effects that today's kids like. We also embellish the names with stars, lightning bolts and other special effects we create spontaneously. All of the shirts are original – no two shirts are the same. It is fun and exciting to watch!
SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES: Party Airbrushing is suitable for all ages from 3-on up, even the adults will be entertained. We have even entertained college age students at promotional events and adult parties.
WHAT MAKES IT “MAGICAL?: ”Everyone will be intrigued by the the way the airbrush works. It is sort of magical because the brush never touches the painting surface. And, since the paints are sprayed from the airbrush to the shirts, with air, they seemingly 'magically" appear on the T-shirts. It is fun, entertaining and exciting to watch the colors appear and blend on the shirts as they spell a name or exciting graphic appears. Also magically, is the way colors transcend from blue to green, when a yellow is applied over blue, or the way blue turns to purple when red is sprayed, applied over a blue letter.
THE COST Our fee is $100.00.00 per hour, with a 2-hour minimum. A set-up and
take-down fee of $100.00 is also applies; the price may vary depending on the event size,
distance, amount of party attendees, and location. Price includes: air supply, travel, paints, etc. There is no extra cost to the client for the first two hours. If requested to stay after the two hours or the 12 shirts, the extra cost will be negotiated between Ray Gatica and the client.
A LESSON FOR CHILDREN: During the airbrush painting, even sudden mistakes and boo-boos can turn out exciting and visually interesting. Gatica’s lesson for children is for then to have fun creating- by using what ever is at hand to create spontaneously.
PARTY Airbrushing: MORE INFORMATION: For the parties, we set up at the event: we bring in our own air source. So as not to disturb or interfere with the party environment, we use compressed nitrogen air tanks to eliminate noise that compressors make. We also use non-toxic acrylic paints that that can be safely sprayed in a well-ventilated areas.
No extra cost to kids: The kids/party attendees can provide their own used pre-worn T-shirts for painting. We prefer the shirts to be pre-washed, and that they be a light color (white, pink, light blue, etc). We can also paint on a black or dark shirt but the colors will not be as bright.
The artist usually spends around 10 minutes per shirt. And can create around a dozen shirts in the two hour session. All of the shirts are original – no two shirts are the same. Gatica commits to 12 shirts per the 2-hour, minimum session. If more party goers are there,
after our hourly obligation, the charge is ten dollars extra per shirt.
Extra cost: There may be extra charge for doing the more complex designs. In some cases we might have to bring the shirts home to be painted in-house at our studio and then ship it back to the client.
